The science behind the technology.
WHAT IS EMS?
Electro Muscular Stimulation (EMS) is a form of muscle stimulation using painless, electrical impulses. For the purpose of strength training and fitness, Body20’s ergonomic EMS machines replicate the central nervous system’s response to activate electrical impulses for rapid muscle contraction.
EMS is 150 times more effective than traditional exercise.
This is because the electro magnetic technology activates more muscle fibres in a shorter amount of time, which means your muscles work harder during the 20-minute exercise session. It’s not cheating – it’s just more efficient.

EMS Training Sessions
Body20 saves you time with rapid 20-minute training sessions.
Lightweight and adjustable, Body20 members wear an electrode-enabled bodysuit that connects to an EMS machine. Your instructor will guide you through a 20-minute training session based around your fitness goals.
Depending on your fitness level, EMS sessions are low-impact or high-intense and members can alternate between Body20 Strength and Body20 Cardio.
EMS training can be performed with or without weights, and is suited for all ages and body shapes. In addition to toning and muscle definition, it’s fantastic for weight loss, cellulite reduction, and injury rehabilitation.
